4th Day of “Stepping Beyond the Veil Fast”

Let this be the meditation of your heart today.

Our prayer and fasting focus for today is Malachi 3:1-3.

The intent of this ten day fast is to “prepare the way.” Malachi 3:1 says…The Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple. You are the temple of The Lord. 1 Corinthians 3:16

There is a generation of those whom seek The Lord, who seek His face. Psalms 24:6 says this is the generation of Jacob.  Jacob was a pursuer of The Lord, he wanted encounter with the living God. We read in Genesis 28:12 that Jacob’s journey brings him to the stairs/ladder of ascending…he sought out God and found the place of ascension, found the ladder into Heaven. In John 1:51 Jesus says, “…hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man. Jesus is that ladder upon whom we ascend and descend.

We are of that same generation, seeking the face of Jesus, and Malachi 3:1 says that as the way is prepared and we are seeking that He will suddenly come. Suddenly means you can’t plan it, you don’t know when , it will just happen.  It will just come and overtake you and carry you in the flow of the river of God. The river is always flowing, what happens is that you align yourself with it and get caught up in its current. Woohoo!!

Malachi 3:2 says Who can endure the day of His coming? Who can stand when He appears? Psalms 24:3-4 says, Who may ascend INTO the hill/mount of The Lord.? or who may stand IN His Holy Place? verse 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart.

When The Lord comes its like a Refiners Fire, burning out the chaff, purging the dross, purging the hands(fleshly nature) and purifying the heart(soulish nature).

This is the work of the cross, the price has been paid for us to walk as Sons and Daughters of God, but most of us don’t walk IN the reality or full provision of our inheritance of the kingdom of God.

Romans 12:1-2 reminds us to present our bodies (that fleshly nature) as a living sacrifice to the refiners fire, to not be conformed to this world (our soulish nature) but to be transformed (through the refiners fire) by the renewing of your mind/heart.

Malachi 3:3 …after the Fire we see that place of STANDING IN Him…an offering IN Righteousness.  Psalms 24:5 says He shall receive blessing from The Lord , and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

In 2 Corinthians 5:16 we read, Therefore from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer.  Jesus has inaugurated a new way of living for us…having torn through the veil of His “flesh,” Hebrews 9:20, so that we can follow Him and walk fully as New Creation beings Standing IN Him…IN His Righteousness. 2 Corinthians 5:17-21.

Let’s step beyond the veil of our flesh so that we are no longer known according to our flesh.
